Darude (1975 -), Originally from Finland. Has had several global #1 hits, and was the first electronic dance DJ to be featured live on MTV Spring Break.
Dave Clarke (1968 -) Dave Clarke a techno DJ and producer who is notable in the techno and electro music world, famous for fusing hip hop beats and techno in his sets along with his album Archive One was pioneering in the same fashion.
David Guetta (1967 -) (born 7 November 1967 in Paris) is a French DJ.
David Mancuso (1944 -) was the founder of New York City's first underground party, called The Loft.
DJ AM (1973–2009) first to use serato scratch and perfect is publicly in the hip-hop scene. He plays some house, and is best known for his scratching skills. Signed $1,000,000 contract with Rain Nightclub in Las Vegas, NV. Started DJing at 20 years old in the L.A. Scene. R.I.P DJAM.

Ferry Corsten . One of the world's pioneer and top Trance DJ and producer from Holland now fusing electro, pop and trance together.
Frankie Bones (1966 - ) First American DJ to play the early U.K. scene in the late 80's, bringing Rave Culture back to America on both coasts of the United States in New York & Los Angeles in 1990. Also coined the term P.L.U.R. from a famous speech made at an early New York event.
Francis Grasso (1948–2001) Popularized several new disc jockey techniques, including beatmatchingslip-cueing and programming.
Frankie Knuckles (1955 -) helped to develop and popularize the electronic, disco-influenced dance music style called house music.
David Morales 35 year veteran of the NYC club scene, now travels all over the world and is signed as an artist.
Tony Humphries Another 35 year veteran of the NYC club scene, and a former resident at Zanzibar, the legendary NJ nightclub. A prolific remixer of many classic records.
Tee Scott DJ at the legendary NYC club Better Days from 1976–1981, then resident at Zanzibar, and remixer of many classics.. Also played at Paradise Garage. Considered one of the best ever. RIP Tee.
Timmy Regisford Veteran NYC club DJ, resident at many NYC clubs in the 70's and 80's, then resident at The Shelter. Still a prolific remixer, and producer, bringing Visual and Colonel Abrams to light.
Larry Patterson Tee's co-DJ at Better Days from 1976–1981, then at Zanzibar.
David DePino Larry Levan's co-DJ at Paradise Garage, now does Paradise parties with huge attendance.
Bruce Forest Resident DJ at Better Days, 1981–1989, first DJ to bring sampling technology and keyboards into the DJ booth in 1981. Prolific remixer and considered one of the best technical DJs.
Danny Tenaglia Miami-based big club DJ, the first DJ to ever command more than $100,000 for a single hour of playing live.
Danny Krivit Veteran DJ of many NYC clubs, including Roxy. Well known as "Dr K" doing edits and remixes of classic club records.
Francois Kevorkian Thought by many to be the greatest DJ remixer, having mixed almost everything on Prelude Records in the 70's and 80's. Resident at AM/PM, owner of Wave Music and Axis Productions. The first DJ to really fuse underground club music and rock tracks. Mixed albums by Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk.
Justin Strauss One of the original Area DJs, a prolific remixer and still playing to wide acclaim.
Jim Burgess One of the Saint DJs and an accomplished tenor, Jim was well known for his long sets and classic remixes of such hits as "Runaway Love" by Linda Clifford. RIP Jim.
Walter Gibbons (1954–1994) was an American record producer, early disco DJ and remixer.
Shaun Buchanan Another Saint DJ, he was considered one of the top hi-energy DJs ever. RIP Shaun.
Robbie Leslie Another Saint DJ, Robbie has been playing for over 40 years and still packs in crowds at Pavilion nights and Fire Island events.
Sharon White One of the only female DJs to ever crack the glass ceiling and gain a following among the Saint crowd, Sharon still plays and is a groundbreaking player.
Leslie Doyle Probably the only other well-known hi-energy female DJ, Leslie also played to underground Garage crowds. Resident at Stix and Moonshadow in the 1980s. Went on to manage DJs and run Magic Sessions.
"Little" Louie Vega Resident at Devil's Nest, Heartthrob and a pioneer house DJs in the 1980s. Still a major DJ, traveling around the world. Prolific remixer and half of the Masters at Work team.
Jeff Mills (1963 -) a techno DJ, famous for his fast style of mixing.
Jonathan Peters New York's famous underground DJ. One time resident to the now defunct "Soundfactory" (one of the most famous clubs in NYC), and now resident DJ of Erick Morillo's club "Pacha" in NYC; an offspring to Ibiza's most famous club under the same name. Peters remixes and blends famous as well as underground dance tracks live at his venues with his DJ system known as SAMANTHA.

Judge Jules (1965 -) One of the U.Ks top House/Trance DJs, who has a radio show on BBC Radio 1.
Just Lance South African DJ/Producer from the Middle East club scene.
Kaskade (1972 -), born Ryan Raddon, an American DJ and formerly an A&R assistant with Om Records.
Keoki (1969 -) is a techno musician, portrayed in the 2003 film Party Monster.
Larry Levan (1954–1992) was an early and prolific re-mixer and the DJ at the 1970s discothèque The Paradise Garage.

Manny Lehman one of NYC's most famous DJs. Employed at Vinyl Mania for many years, he became well known after the Garage closed.
Megha Kawale India's first female DJ and amongst the most talented and successful ones. A former Supermodel, she was chosen among Femina Magazine's "India's 100 Most Beautiful Women" in 2008. Paul Oakenfold (1963 -) is British record producer and remixer.
Paul Van Dyk (1971 -) a trance DJ who earned DJMag's top 100 DJ list No. 1 DJ award in 2005 and again in 2006. He was an apprentice carpenter before he became a DJ.
Paul Taylor (1957 -) is British DJ, record producer, remixer and promoter, notable for the nightclub Angels and club night brand Retro.
Rick Squillante (195? - 2001) was a Billboard reporting DJ/producer from the Dallas club scene who helped to promote dance music at the Starck Club in the mid-1980s before moving on to work with Virgin Records America and the creation of a dance music division.
Sasha (1969 -) voted among the top ten DJs in the world by readers of DJMag every year since 1997. His real name is Alexander Coe.
Shep Pettibone (1959 -) Robert E. Pettibone, Jr. is a record producer, remixer, songwriter and club DJ, one of the most prolific of the 1980s. His earliest work known to the public was for one of New York City's top disco/dance radio stations, WRKS 98.7 "Kiss" FM, and later as remixer/producer for the disco label Salsoul Records. His prowess at production and mixing led him to work with such artists as Madonna, New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Breakfast Club, George Michael and others in the late '80s during the height of these artists' popularity.
Tall Paul (1971 -) a Trance DJ in the UK; in 1998 he was voted "Muzik" DJ of the Year.
Tiësto (1969 -) One of world's leading trance music DJs, voted 'No. 1 DJ in the World' for the third consecutive year in 2004 by DJMag's top 100 DJ list.
Thomas Bangalter (1975-) is a French DJ and electronic music producer noted for his work with Guy-Manuel de Homem Christo in Daft Punk.
DJ Omio (1956–2010) DJ Omio Fairbanks crafted his style of "house music" during the mid-70s in the midwest. His underground following began in November 1974 while DJ'ing the first annual "Players Ball" held in Chicago, IL. The Bishop Magic Don Juan was quoted as saying "Omio has influenced house/club music and hip hop the way Rudy Ray Moore influenced black film in the 70s" RIP DJ Omio Fairbanks.
